College Gear Hub ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect only what we need to take, pack, track and support your order — we never sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

College Gear Hub is an independent online store selling fan jerseys and apparel. For any privacy question or request, the fastest channel is our support inbox:

Contact: collegegearhub@outlook.com — we reply to every message within 24 hours.

2. What we collect

  • Order information. Name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and the items you buy, so we can fulfil, deliver and support your order.
  • Payment data. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We see your order total and payment method type — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Customisation details. The name, number, size and jersey options you choose for personalised orders — this is what we print.
  • Communications. The emails you send us and their content, so the next person who picks up your case knows its history.
  • Technical data. Device, browser, approximate location (IP-based) and browsing behaviour, collected through cookies and analytics, to keep the site fast and fix problems.

3. How we use it

  • Process, pack, ship, track and support your order.
  • Answer your emails about returns, exchanges, sizing or anything else.
  • Send you transactional messages: order confirmation, dispatch and tracking updates.
  • With your consent, send marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time (every email carries an unsubscribe link, or reply "unsubscribe").
  • Improve our store: fix checkout problems, understand which product pages help or confuse.
  • Meet legal obligations: tax records, fraud prevention, dispute handling.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the partners who help us run the store, each of them bound to use it just for that job:

  • E-commerce platform — hosts our store and your account/order records.
  • Payment processors — to take and refund your payment securely.
  • Carriers and tracking partners — the name, address and phone number required to deliver and track your parcel.
  • Email service providers — to send confirmations, tracking updates and (with your consent) marketing.
  • Analytics providers — aggregated traffic and usage data.
  • Authorities — where the law requires it or to protect our rights, in response to lawful requests.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies: strictly necessary cookies for the cart and checkout you cannot switch off, functional cookies for preferences, and analytics/advertising cookies only where your consent settings allow. You can change or withdraw consent at any time from the cookie banner; your browsing continues to work without the optional ones.

6. Data retention

We keep order records for as long as required by tax, audit and consumer-protection law — typically several years — and support conversations for up to a year after your last contact. Customisation details are kept with your order record. Analytics data is stored in aggregated form.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Access, correction, deletion. Email us and we will show you what we hold, fix it, or delete the personal data we are not legally required to keep.
  • Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe from any email, or reply "unsubscribe" — processed immediately and at any time.
  • US state privacy rights. If you live in a state with its own privacy law (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you can request access, deletion and correction, and opt out of any "sale or sharing" of personal data — which we do not carry out.
  • EU/UK residents. You may also have rights of restriction, objection and portability, and can complain to your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (your order), legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention) and consent (marketing, optional cookies).

8. Security

Everything travels over an encrypted connection at checkout, payment is processed by certified third parties, and internal access to order data is limited to the people who need it. No online store can promise perfect security, but we design so that a breach would expose as little as possible — starting by never holding your full card number.

9. Children

Our store is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child gave us data, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we will update this page and adjust the "last updated" date. For significant changes to how we use your data, we will notify you by email where the law requires it.
